Empire Theatre Consett is situated in the busy town centre of Consett. Located just off Front Street the theatre is easily accessible by both bus and car.
By car
Consett is served by an excellent road network. The A691 road provides fast, easy access from Durham straight into the town centre. Empire Consett is clearly signposted. If coming from the north, Consett can also be accessed via the A68 and A694 – just follow the signs to the town centre.
Car parking
Consett has a number of free car parks a short distance from Empire Consett. The Albert Road Car park – 160 spaces (DH8 5JU) is a five-minute walk away from the Empire Consett.
There are a limited number of disabled bays directly outside the theatre on Front Street.
By bus
With regular bus services from surrounding areas, Empire Consett can be easily reached by public transport. You can use Traveline North East and Cumbria to help you plan your journey.
By bike
There are a number of places to leave your bike near to the Empire Consett, you will also find a bike park just outside of Consett Library.
