International singing stars Graeme Danby and Valerie Reid are leaving behind the great opera stages of the world to bring their new show to Graeme’s hometown of Consett.
Songs of the North East celebrates the music of our region and includes traditional ballads such as Blow the Wind Southerly, The Keel Row and Sally Wheatley alongside more contemporary numbers by local songwriters Mark Knopfler, Sting and Eric Boswell.
Join us for an evening of wonderful music and the stories behind the songs in this show written and produced by Graeme Thompson and Tom Kelly with accompanist Andrew Richardson.
