A traditional Irish folk and ballad band, The Kilkennys are noted for their dynamic arrangements, energetic performances and charismatic rapport with audiences across the globe.
Kilkenny city is famous for its long history of brewing fine Irish ale and beer. The brewery may be gone, but the music plays on! The Kilkennys are the first group named after the beloved marble city, and the first band named after an Irish city since Luke Kelly and company started The Dubliners.
With passion and pride, they play old Irish folk songs as well as new songs of their own.
The band’s following is growing internationally and The Kilkennys have been named Ireland’s Most Successful International Folk Band winners in the Sunday Worlds Country Music and Entertainment Awards.
